Special shooping hours For Seniors and the immune compromised

Information is Accurate as of March 20, 2020.

The stores listed below have dedicated shopping hours for seniors and those with underlying health issues.

This is a rapidly changing situation, you should call your local stores to confirm this information before heading out to shop.

WalMart Neighborhood Market and Walmart: Tuesdays 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Beginning Thursday, March 19, and until further notice, Walmart stores and Neighborhood Markets will be open from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The early closure will give associates more time to clean and restock products. In addition, from March 24 through April 28, all stores will host an hourlong senior shopping event each Tuesday for shoppers aged 60 or older, which will begin one hour before the stores open to the public. There are also limits on paper products, milk, eggs, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, water, diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food.

Publix. Publix stores and Publix Pharmacies will open early 7 AM – 8 AM Tuesdays and Wednesdays to allow seniors to shop ahead of the crowds. Customers age 65+ to shop 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The supermarket chain has adjusted store hours to allow for additional cleaning and restocking time. All Publix locations will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, and pharmacies will operate Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday pharmacy hours remain the same. The chain is working to restock shelves continuously, and some locations have placed purchase limits on high-demand items such as milk and toilet paper.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FUNERALS AND CATHOLIC CEMETARIES

In an effort to support the community effort to address the corona virus pandemic and for the safety of the families of the Archdiocese and the staff of the cemeteries, our Catholic cemeteries in Miami Dade and Broward Counties are closed for visitation.  Families wishing to make arrangements for burials should call ahead and are asked to limit the number of persons coming on site to make arrangements to only two (2) persons.

No funeral Masses or committal services will be held in the chapels at the cemetery unless the family has a licensed location inside one of the buildings.  All committal services will be graveside, with no more than 10 family members in attendance unless there is a license for a location inside a building.  Families having the committal service graveside or if licensed, in a building, who wish to have an anniversary service in the future when the crisis has been resolved, will be accommodated

Memorial Masses and anniversary services at the cemeteries, in any buildings, are suspended until further notice.
