A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people who are close to my heart.
We in the Church have four principle dogmas relating to our Blessed Mother.
The 4 Dogmas:
1. Her title as Mother of God.
2. Her perpetual Virginity.
3. Her Immaculate Conception.
4. Her Assumption into heaven.
The Immaculate Conception is the feast we celebrate on December 8th every year. Since it falls on Sunday in the USA it is not a holy day of obligation in 2019 So we celebrate the feast on Monday but again it is NOT A DAY OF OBLIGATION.
The Immaculate Conception
The Immaculate Conception is a dogma based mainly on Christian tradition and theological reasoning. While other human beings were born without grace because we inherit original sin, Mary was conceived full of grace, completely free from original sin.
The tradition was defined as Church dogma in 1854 by Pope Pius iX through “Ineffabilis Deus” From the first moment of her conception, Mary was preserved immune from original sin by the singular grace of God and by virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race. (CCC#491). God freely chose Mary from all eternity to be the Mother of his Son. In order to carry out her mission, she herself was conceived Immaculate.
Ministry Weekend
We have ministry weekend coming up next week on December 14th and 15th. All the ministry leaders will be in the parish hall. Please stop at the hall and get acquainted with the various groups.
If the Lord is calling you for any of the ministries, please NEVER say NO to it. It’s your call from the Lord.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MY PEOPLE INVOLVED IN SOME MINISTRY. I LONG TO SEE MY PEOPLE OWN this parish.
Please involve yourself. We will do it again in January as well. Please pray for the success of this Ministry Weekend.
On Saturday December 14, 2019 there will be a meeting for anyone interested in learning about being an altar server or extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, as well as those already involved in these ministries. It’s a simple catechism about Mass and the Church.
Please, if you are interested to know about the Mass and Church be in the church on December 14, 2019 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All are welcome.
God bless you all. Please pray for me and please be assured of my prayers for you all.
With lots of love and ever at your service,
Fr. Sahayanthan Nathan
