A Message from Father Nathan
March, we kick off the St Gabriel Diamond Jubilee
We will be starting our celebration this year on March 24, 2026.
As we know, Tuesday, March 24th, at 4:00 p.m., we are going to kick start our Diamond Jubilee. We will have the groundbreaking ceremony for our planned 53-foot tower, commemorating the 53 beads of the rosary.
These are the following reasons I had in my mind. I am indeed happy to share them with you.
1. To mark the 60th (Diamond Jubilee) anniversary of our parish with a visible and lasting sign of gratitude to God
2. To honor the faith, sacrifice, and vision of our founding families and past generations
3. To restore the visibility of our church, which is now surrounded by tall buildings, so that it may once again stand as a clear sign of God’s presence in the neighborhood.
4. To proclaim Christ without words –a form of indirect evangelization that silently invites hearts toward prayer and hope.
5. To lift our eyes and minds to heaven; a tower symbolizes our journey toward God and eternal life.
6. To become a landmark of faith, reminding all who pass by that God dwells among His people.
7. To strengthen parish identity and deepen our sense of belonging as one faith community.
8. To build up the community spiritually—not just with bricks and mortar, but with renewed faith and unity.
9. To leave a legacy for future generations – a visible testimony that this generation loved the Church and invested in its mission.
10. To symbolize stabiliy, hope, and perseverance in a rapidly changing world
11. To make a bold statement that the Church is alive, growing, and rooted in Christ
On the 24th of this month (which is going to be Tuesday), our Auxiliary Bishop Enrique of our Archdiocese,will be here at St.Gabriel to start the Jubilee and to bless every one of us.
I Encourage Everyone to Join Us at 4:00 Pm on March 24
First, at 4:00 p.m., we will have the blessing of the groundbreaking ceremony in front of the church for the bell tower, followed by the Holy Mass presided over by Bishop Enrique. May I ask all of you to come together with us for the celebration even though it is happening on a weekday? Please plan ahead and grace the historical occasion by your presence. It’s our church and the event will enable us to feel proud to be part of it as members of the church.

May God bless you all. As we are in the season of Lent, please remember that Lent is not about proving something to God – it is about returning to Him. Pray more – Not many words, but more heart. Sit in silence. Let God look at you. Let Him love you. Fast wisely – Not only from food, but from anger, gossip, pride, and unnecessary noise. Make space in your soul. Give gently – Give forgiveness. Give patience. Give attention. Charity begins in small, hidden acts. Examine honestly – Each night ask: Did I love today? Did I trust God today?
Walk with Jesus
– Lent is a journey to the Cross, but ends in Resurrection. Do not carry your burdens alone. As Saint Augustine said:
Return to your heart….and from your heart to God:
Let this Lent be simple: Less noise. More prayer. Less self. More Christ.

My dear Brothers and Sisters,
Life can be noisy and, at times, overwhelming. Yet in the quiet moments of prayer, a still, gentle voice speaks to us—a deep conviction that stirs within and calls us to look beyond ourselves. Each day, we’re surrounded by the clamor of the world—its demands, its distractions, its pressures—but even in the midst of it all, God calls us to pause, to listen, and to respond to the quiet prompting within us: to see and serve the needs of others.
Let us come together to bring light where there is darkness, peace where there is conflict, and love where there is need. There is great strength in unity—and when we are united in Christ, we become a powerful force for good in a world longing for hope and healing.
Together, we must do good and seek peace. Together starts with you.
By giving to the Archbishop’s Charities and Development Drive, the ABCD, you bring hope to those in greatest need. This is our Church, our mission—to serve with heart and compassion.
The ABCD lives out this mission every day: feeding the hungry, consoling the suffering, embracing the stranger, advocating for justice, and upholding the dignity of the poor with love. The work of our Church in South Florida, through the ABCD, is not merely charitable—it is profoundly sacramental, a visible expression of Christ’s love in the world.
As Pope Leo XIV said, “United hand in hand with God… let us go forward. The world needs His light.” Let us seek peace, do good,
and stand in the light of Christ.
Now is the time to come together. Your gift to the ABCD supports a mission that reflects the very heart of the Gospel.
