A Message from Father Nathan
My Dearest People
Let the peace of Christ be with you. I am indeed glad to inform you I have moved here to the rectory, settling down.
I am also making effort to learn your names and faces. I wish to know you all by names and faces. God will help me. Thank. you for your patience as I learn.
Many are concerned about how I am to be called. So let me explain a little about my name.
The Story of My Name
Back home, usually all Catholics are named after the saints of course the trend is now changing. By their names you can find out if if they are Catholic or not. My fist name looks a bit long, but it. has a beautiful meaning.
If I am going to translate my name into English. SAGA.YA MADAHA means OURLADY OF MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS. NATHAN means servant. So I am the servant of Mary, Help of Christians.
Yes I am the servant of Christ and I want to be a servant – to Christ and HIS people. I love that!
My name is spelled incorrectly. It is suppose to be SAGAYANATHAN. One of my teachers made the mistake., it has gone into the file, hence I am holding on to that. Father SAGAI or SAGAY would be correct. Good luck with that. Thank you.
We are going to celebrate the Independence Day of our nation. What a blessed nation we all livle in.
Happy Independence Day
Some of us,who have not been exposed to other cultures and nations, may not know how blessed we are. I would say with my limited exposure of the world and cultures, my dear friends, WE LIVE in a God promised land. God has very truly and enormously blessed our nation. Let us praise God for the great gift of freedom that all enjoy.
Let us remember and pray for all the GREAT FATHERS OF OUR NATION, who wanted to build this nation under the Christian principle. May there souls rest in peace.
Remember to Always Keep God in Your Life
Having Said this, when it comes to great holidays, we all do them conveniently but we forget God and church.
We need to enjoy the holidays and have the need to have some family gatherings and reunions and all that, for sure, we need them all but without throwing God away from our lives.
Our life and day should start with God hence, please come to church on Independence Day and thank him for the blessings that we enjoy from him and from this country. The rest of the day can be for fun.
Let Us Be Proud Americans
Let us not throw away God from our lives, from our culture and from our country.
Let us love our NATION.
Let us be proud to be AMERICAN and let also be faithful Christians.
Happy Independence Day to you all…
And God Bless America!!!!
Independence Day Prayer
God, source of all freedom
this day is bright with the memory
of those who declared that life and liberty are your gift to every human being.
Help us to continue the good work begun long ago.
Make our vision clear and our will strong:
that only in human solidarity will we find liberty and justice
and honor that belongs to every life on earth.
Turn our hearts toward the family of nations:
to understand the ways of others,
to offer friendship,
and to find safety only in the common good of all.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

A sacred space for soul-to-soul dialogue with our Lord Jesus Christ. Silence in the church is not an empty quietness—it is a sacred stillness where we allow God to speak to our hearts.

Thank You for My Birthday Celebration. Last week, before my birthday, my little niece, with all the innocence and concern of a child, went to her mother and said, “I feel bad for Uncle Father Nathan. Uncle is all alone. There is no one to celebrate his birthday with him.” She said it because I am far away from my family home, and in her
