A Message from Father Nathan

My dearest people who are close to my heart.

Prayerful greeting to you.  I am indeed happy to tell you that I was extremely pleased last Sunday just before the Mass because we had a good turnout for the Sacrament of Confession.

I do remember the wisdom and challenge of my liturgy professor who said, “I would judge your spirituality, guys, by the way people come for Mass and the number who avail themselves of the Sacrament of Confession.  So, I was glad to see you, my dear people, making great use of confession.  God bless you.  Please keep up the good work.

WELCOME BACK to the parish, my dear people who are all back from your summer escape.  I am delighted to have you back.  I can see the church I filling up.  Great!  God bless you all.

As I told you I do receive a lot of positve comments.  I do take them all with a sense of responsibility.  Thank you though.

Please let me know whether I can do anything for you to serve you better.  Your constructive suggestions and comments for the good of the church are always appreciated and welcomed.  Please stop at the office, if you want to talk to me or send me an e-mail at saintgabrielminister@aol.com which is another way to connect.  I am open to it.  I am here to SERVE you.

As always, I appeciate it.  We have greatness and holiness here at our church.  Let us increase these qualities and make this parish where we can all come together, worship together and grow in relation with each other and with God.  God bless you all

Blessings!

Please be assured of my prayers for each and every one of you.  You are rememberred and prayed for in my personal prayers and at the altar

With lots of love and ever at your service,

Fr. Sahayanthan Nathan

Celebrating my 21st Ordination
May 10
This week, I will celebrate my 21st Ordination anniversary. I DO NOT like any celebrations for me personally, but when the priesthood is celebrated, I really like it. It’s not the person but the priesthood of Christ…

Holy Doors Pilgrimage Trip Report. We are back, healthy and renewed. We had a great pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi. Everyone stayed healthy. The places we visited were more than I expected! I have realized that I have yet to learn an ocean of knowledge about our Catholic faith.

Become a Prayer Warrior. Time is Precious & With Age we Gain Time. There is no doubt that most of our parishioners are age 63 plus. Some may be quick to assume that because of our age, we cannot do a lot to contribute to the community and to society. It’s so unfortunate to think that.

I am in Rome on the Holy Doors Pilgrimage with a Group of Parishioners. Please keep us in your prayers. Preparations have begun for Holy Week and Easter. We have planned the liturgies and all the details they involve. I wish and pray that our people have a meaningful celebration of Holy Week and Easter.
