A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people who are all close to my heart
Lots of love, blessings, and prayers to you all.
Time to Celebrate Our Volunteers!
I look forward to the upcoming Appreciation Dinner for all the volunteers at St. Gabriel’s. As I had done many times with others, my bragging about many of our people and all their goodness and the time and talent that they share for the good of our community is heartwarming.
Special Appreciation for Andrew Reid and Ani Kambur Choir leaders & Ms. Charla O’Neil
The Appreciation Dinner that we do is a chance to acknowledge and appreciate the time and talents of Andrew Reid and Ani Kambur for helping our parish community to sing, participate and pray through song. Very many of you tell me how you appreciate them. May God bless them since they are doing their best. There have been another seven people who have joined the choir. I appreciate each one of you and all of us who sing at Mass.
I would like to especially thank Ms. Charla O’Neil for sharing her talent throughout Holy Week Masses and events! It made such a great difference –may God bless her. As I am sure of my appreciation for all of our people, may I also share this to you…very many times some of you come to me suggesting to sing only popular songs. I totally understand this. Please remember like Advent and Lent, there are a few songs to be sung during those seasons, and very many of them may not be as popular and we may not know them, hence please understand that.
During the Ordinary Times season, we cannot be singing every week the same popular as Amazing Grace or others. I have directed that the Mass is the liturgy of the church; he should help our people in their better participation as well as he should help us to sing and pray better. May he continue to do that.
God bless you all.
With lots of love and blessings,
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,
— Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan
