A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people who are all close to my heart!
Lots of love, blessings, and prayers to you all.
Celebrate Christmas – The Birth of the Savior of the World!
Christmas is a busy season every year. Streets and stores are filled with people. Travelers on the highways increase, airports are crowded – all Christianity seems to come to life with music, lights, and festive decorations. All because of one child. The Child Jesus.
The child brought Joy to the World.
The whole world rejoices over Him The true meaning of Christmas is love. God loved His own and provided a way—the only WAY—for us to spend eternity with Him. He gave His only Son to take our punishment for our sins. He paid the price in full, and we are free from condemnation when we accept that free gift of love.
The Mission of Jesus Christ
The Son of God was clearly sent on a mission to seek out each and every one of us after we strayed far from the Father in heaven. The Father did not sit back and wait for us to return. Rather He sent the Son on an active, diligent mission of seeking us out to bring us back into His divine fold. That is what Christmas is all about. It’s the day we celebrate and rejoice in His love.
Joseph and Mary Obey the Lord & Shepards & Wise Men Honor Jesus
To Mary – when first told she was to be Jesus’ mother and Joseph – when he learned his fiance was pregnant. Mary and Joseph – when told they would have to journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the census. Shepherds – when they heard the message from the angels and went to see the baby.
Wise men – their compelling desire to visit the new king in spite of the long journey to get there. Herod – when he discovered there was a new king whom he thought would challenge his own position.
To all of these people, who were anxious, perplexed, concerned, and worried, the message was so simple
“Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord!” Luke 2:11
Today your anxiety will turn into peace. Your worry will turn into joy. Your worry will turn into rejoicing.
Peace & Joy
As our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, we may be also worried perplexed, and concerned for various reasons. As the child brought great rejoicing and joy to the world, may that joy be yours. May the Child Jesus bestow you peace, joy, and happiness in your life. “Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you.”
Merry Christmas to you!
God bless you all.
With lots of love and blessing.
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service.
—Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan
