A Few Thoughts

The Indian Dinner Was a Great Sucess

I want to express my appreciation to all of our people who were involved with the Indian Dinner here at the parish. There were lots of people who were a part of that. I wanted to thank each and every one of them God bless you all.

Great Attendance At Daily mass

I see wonderful attendance at the daily Masses and weekend Masses, and that makes me extremely happy. Welcome!

Warmly Welcome all our Visitors

May I request each of you to welcome our guests and visitors. Let everyone feel the warmth of our love. One little smile and a word of welcome can make a huge difference hence please do so.

Stay After Communion to Spend Time with our Lord

I did notice some of you rush out right after Communion. Dear friends, that is a precious time. Hence, please spare some time to dialogue in conversation with prayers to the Lord. To help you I have put in a prayer St. Thomas Aquinas after Communion; please recite the prayers which will help you greatly.

Join us Daily to Pray the Rosary

I did notice that lots of people pray the rosary right after the daily Mass, which is another good sign of Catholic pious activity. To me, these are spiritual warriors of the parish. It’s again a humble request to stay at church and pray the rosary. The Rosary is like a ladder that goes to Christ.

Prayerfully consider your Gift to ABCD

Finally, ABCD is in progress. We need to do better. I believe with your cooperation and involvement we can do better! Therefore, I encourage you to be a part of it, please. Little drops make the ocean. The participation of each and every one of us helps us reach our goal. Please do your part.

ABCD Kicks-off

Here is a letter from Archbishop Thomas G. Wenski.

My dear Brothers and Sisters, Hope is not always easy, especially in a broken world, yet our faith calls us to be agents of hope to unite, heal, and transform our world. In the most challenging times, when it is easy to lose heart, there is always an invitation to witness hope knowing that God never gives up on us.

 

In this Jubilee Year, we are all invited to serve as pilgrims of hope and develop a deeper connection with our faith, is not an attitude or opinion, but is a special gift from the Holy Spirit that is vital in our lives. It is what gives us confidence for the future, even when things may seem bleak. For us Catholics, Jesus is our hope. (Romans 5: 5)

 

The Archbishop’s Charities and Development Drive (ABCD) is one way we can bring hope to others and help them experience the transformative love of Christ-a love so powerful that it can heal the sick, convert hearts and change the course of someone’s life. Whether it is through advocacy, education, housing, or serving the poor – just to name a few – ABCD is bringing hope to those in need.

 

Please prayerfully consider opening your hearts in support of the ABCD and make a gift of hope today. A world without God is a world without hope, and a world without hope is a world without a future. We must unite to bring hope and the love of Christ to people – no matter who they are or where they live. Every gift makes a difference!
