Roe v. Wade Overturned
Friday, June 24th the Supreme Court released its decision overturning Roe v. Wade. Our Archbishop Thomas Wenski beautifully puts it in his letter to the priests and to the public.
Message from Most Reverend Thomas G. Wenski
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The decision of the US Supreme Court overturning the fateful Roe v. Wade is certainly welcomed by all those who recognize that human life begins at conception and that this is a scientific and biological fact and not merely a religious belief or ideological theory. As such the unborn child should be welcomed in life and protected by law.
However, this decision does not outlaw abortion in the United States. But it would return decision-making about abortion policy to the people and their elected representatives. Even pro-choice Justice Ruth Ginsburg was no fan of the legal reasoning behind Roe v. Wade which many criticized as “the justices legislating from the bench”.
We hope that dismantling Roe will allow legislation protecting the unborn to move forward in our state legislatures and to survive constitutional challenges in the future.
Abortion too often is seen as the solution to an unforeseen problem, a fallback position if contraception failed or was not used. But abortion is no solution – and it is no right. lt is a wrong, a grievous wrong that has prematurely ended the lives of more than 60 million souls in this country alone since 1973.
Most Reverend Thomas G. Wenski
Archbishop of Miami
On the other side, we are witnessing the opinions of others as well. To put it in the words of Pope St. John XXIII
“The Church has always opposed…errors. Nowadays, however, the Spouse of Christ prefers to use the medicine of mercy rather than that of severity.”
Update on Renovations
At the parish, we are celebrating 55 years. Established in 1967 to cater to and serve the needs of the Catholic community in Pompano Beach and Hillsboro Beach. It’s so fitting that we have started to do the renovation of the church.
I am impressed that a few of you have already started to donate to this renovation of the church. – the painting of the exterior of the church, parish hall, and rectory and the surveillance camera system.
The total target is $1,000,000. We have reached almost a quarter of it.
I am looking for your generous heart towards this. It’s our heart and soul, so if you don’t take care of it, no one will do so.
Happy Independence Day
Another important event in our country. We are going to celebrate the independence of our nation. What a blessed nation that we live in! We need to salute all those who have toiled and sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our nation and all the founding fathers of our nation. What an incredible and visionary personality that they formulate. May God bless one and all Happy July Fourth to everyone. God bless America!
God bless you all.
With lots of love and blessing.
Ever at your service.

We have just started the Lenten season. It’s one of the most precious and holiest seasons of the year… Let us try to know Christ and let us try to understand him. Please, make an effort to talk to Him and with Him through the readings of the scripture, praying the rosary as a family,

Ash Wednesday | The Beginning of Lent
“Repent and believe in the Gospel” is the captivating sentence as we begin the holy season of Lent. For any Roman Catholic Church, the suffering the death of Christ is the mystery of our faith. Our faith revolves around this.

Thoughts on healing a broken heart… Thank you for your love and care. It’s the greatest and warming feeling that one is being loved, we hear that Christ longed for this acceptance from His people when he lived here in His time.
