As we celebrate 250 years of American freedom, let us give thanks to Almighty God for the many blessings bestowed upon this great nation.
With grateful hearts, we remember the sacrifices of those who came before us and pray for wisdom, unity, peace, and justice for generations to come.
May God continue to bless America, guide our leaders, protect our people, and inspire us to be faithful citizens committed to liberty, compassion, and the common good.
As the United States marks the Semiquincentennial—250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026—we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and give thanks for God’s abundant mercy, love, care, and guidance throughout our nation’s history.
Let us also pray that America continues to be a nation rooted in faith, freedom, love of neighbor, and hope for the future. May we preserve these values and pass them on to future generations.
As St. Augustine wisely said:
“Trust the past to God’s mercy, the present to God’s love, and the future to God’s providence.”
God has protected our nation in the past, continues to sustain us today, and, by His providence, will lead us into the future.

If the secular world cannot come to Christ in prayer, why don’t we bring them to Christ through our prayers? They are weary and burdened, and they, too, need to find rest in Christ Jesus. I will be away for a weekend, as I am traveling to India. My home parish, dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. It is a small community with about 350 families in total. Many have moved outside the village for their livelihood, but the faith of this parish has deeply shaped who I am today.
