A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people closest to my heart!

Celebrating 21 years of Ordination
May 10
This week, I will celebrate my 21st Ordination anniversary. I DO NOT like any celebrations for me personally, but when the priesthood is celebrated, I really like it. It’s not the person but the priesthood of Christ. Twenty-one years ago, in this same month on the evening of the 10 th at five o’clock the celebration started. I will never forget that celebration.
Ordained in My Remote Village of India, the Archbishop asked me Questions on Behalf of the church
I was ordained at my remote village, which was crowded with hundreds of priests and religious. At the celebration before being anointed, the bishop asked me a few questions on behalf of the church.
Each Year at the Holy Oil Mass, Priests are asked the Same Questions
Every year on the THURSDAY OF HOLY WEEK, the bishop would ask the same question to the priests a the Holy Oil Mass. This year, the archbishop asked us the questions I will print for you.
- Are you resolved to be more united with the Lord Jesus and more closely conformed to him, denying yourselves and confirming those promises about sacred duties towards Christ’s Church which, prompted by love of Him, you willingly and joyfully pledged on the day of your priestly ordination?
- Are you resolved to be faithful stewards of the mysteries of God in the Holy Eucharist and the other liturgical rites and to discharge faithfully the sacred office of teaching, following only by zeal for souls?
And we, all the priests, said “YES” to that and
Then the archbishop or bishop would ask the faithful
“as for you, dearest sons and daughters, pray for our Priests, that the Lord may pour out his gifts abundantly upon them, and keep them faithful as ministers of Christ, the High Priest, so that they may lead him, who is the source of salvation”.
Beautiful prayers… Please remember and pray for me that I am always faithful to Christ and His calling, and to be a faithful minister to the Holy Mother Church. This is my humble prayer. I want to be faithful to our Holy Mother Chruch and to Christ.
Please do pray for me.
May our Holy Mother Mary protect me under her mantle and lead me to her Son.;
With lots of love and blessings.
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,
— Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan

Happy Father’s Day. Let us appreciate and value the sacrifices that our dads have done for us. Let us be thankful for the persons they are. Let us pray for them as they have gone to the Lord. “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;” Psalm 103:13…
