A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people closest to my heart!
God bless you and your generous heart.
Vote Your Conscience – Vote Your Faith
Be Kind to Others
This week we are going to perform our Civic duty and civic responsibility. Let us all go and vote for our candidate.
On saying this, let me also share this with you. Let our faith in Christ Jesus be the priority over our political opinion. Sometimes our political opinions are more than our faith. That should never be at all; that is not right at all. The very foundation and fundamentals of our constitution itself are founded on faith, hence let our faith be the priority. Let us pray for our nation that the leaders help our people to live in harmony. These elections should help us to love our nation and our people.
I feel that there is a tension all over the place. I think and believe it’s unnecessary. All of us have our favorite candidate. We think our choice is good, which is not wrong. Others believe theirs is the best. I believe all of us have the right to have our own opinions and choices but that should never lead us to think that “I am right and you are wrong”.
Sometimes we all also try to indoctrinate others and get into arguments, which is just a waste of time. No one is going to change their mindset just because of your opinion.
This is what I would say, let this election help us to love our nation. Let this election help us love our people. May it bring us closer to each other. Above all let it lead to loving our nation and working together for the good of our nation. If not, it doesn’t serve the purpose.
Hence let the leader bring harmony among people. May they always bear this responsibility in whatever they do.
As St. Paul shares his love
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which trancends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
—Phil 4:6-7.
Let us pray to God that God may bless our country and may help us that whoever is elected will help us practice our faith, and may they govern righteously. Let us also pray that we have a fair and honest election for all. Let us all pray for the smooth running of this election. God bless America!
With lots of love and blessings.
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,
— Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan
