A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people closest to my heart!
God bless you and your generous heart.
With Great Sadness, I Pass on the News that Andrew Reid, our long-time choir Director, has passed Away
Cherish Life
You might have heard of the death of Andrew Reid. It’s extremely terrible news to the parish. We are all saddened by his passing from this life.
I had a chance to anoint him before he went to the hospital and a chance to meet him also at the hospital. He was a musically highly talented person. I loved his music.
Andrew Was a long-time Member of our Parish and a friend of Msgr. Fazzalaro, former Pastor of St Gabriel
When I came to know about Msgr. Fazzalaro, a previous pastor of St. Gabriel parish, I was extremely fascinated by his profile. He received a degree of Doctor of Canon Law. He served as Assistant Chancellor, Promotor of Justice, Secretary to the Bishop, Officials, and Vice-Chancellor. He was named Very Rev. Msgr by Pope Pius XII and later Rt.Rev. Msgr. By Pope John XXIII. He was chaplain to the Catholic Lawyers Guild. These are extremely high profiles at the Church. Msgr. Fazzalaro was also an accomplished pianist and composer of many religious hymns. Msgr. Fazzalaro genuinely liked Andrew Reid, and he is the one who appointed Andrew here at St. Gabriel Church. Andrew was telling me that he had been involved with St. Gabriel for close to 27 years…it’s a long time but he was here.
Finally, due to ill health, he has gone to the Lord. May his soul rest in peace. I know, many of you had a very long healthy relationship and friendship with him. Yes, he was a simple person with a very big musical heart. May he be now playing and singing for God. Let us continue to pray for him.
I feel extremely bad for his mother. Let us also support her through our prayers. It’s a big loss for the whole parish.
I am in a way happy that he is not going to taste pain and suffering anymore. He is at the hand of the Lord. Let the Lord take care of him. Let us say farewell to him. We will miss him.
With lots of love and blessings.
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,
— Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan

Mass is God’s Food for Our Soul, come and partake. I am glad and delighted to witness many coming back to the church in person, which is great! I am looking forward to witnessing all our people back at the church. I thought maybe it would be good to do a little catechism as my thankfulness.

Overturning an unjust law “For nearly fifty years,” says the US Bishops’ statement, “America has enforced an unjust law that has permitted some to decide whether others can live or die; this policy has resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of preborn children, generations that were denied the right to even be born.”
