Get Ready to Celebrate Thanksgiving
Remembering all our blessings
In two weeks, we are going to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. The whole of our blessed nation, America, is getting ready for all the celebrations.
As we are all aware, Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday of our Blessed nation that originated to celebrate the harvest and other blessings of the past year.
We need to be thankful to God for so many blessings:
- the blessing of our life
- the blessing of our health
- the blessing of our family
- the blessing of our friends
- the blessing of our wonderful nation
- the blessing of our good environment,
- the blessing of the church
- the blessing of our faith
We come together to give thanks!
As we come together and celebrate Thanksgiving which is great. Thanksgiving has to be celebrated that way. It’s all about family and family coming together.
We are all family and need to care for each other
Our church is a family. We want to feel that everyone is THE MEMBER OF THIS FAITH FAMILY.
We want to instill that into our families In case for some reason any one of our people is home due to age or any other reason and feels lonely, it’s our church’s responsibility to make them feel that IT’S THEIR HOME. IT IS OUR HOME. Please bring your family and friends and let us all celebrate.
Let us reaffirm that we are all family. We care for everyone and hold each other as family.
With lots of love and blessings,
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,
— Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan

Holy Days of Obligation | The Catechism of the Catholic Church
The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains holy days of obligation this way:
Family needs or important social services can legitimately excuse the obligation of Sunday rest (specified in the Fourth Commandment). The faithful should see that legitimate excuses do not lead to habits prejudicial to religion, family life, and health {CCC 2185}.
