A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people closest to my heart!
God bless you and your generous heart.
All Soul’s Day | November 2nd
—recall all those who have gone before us—entrusting them to the eternal embrace of God
As we journey together in faith, the Church invites us once again to a deeply meaningful celebration: All Souls’ Day, November 2nd. This is a day of prayer, remembrance, and hope. It is a sacred moment when, as one family in Christ, we pause to lovingly recall all those who have gone before us—our parents, relatives, friends, and parishioners—entrusting them to the eternal embrace of God.
our prayers for the departed
The Church teaches us that our prayers for the departed are an act of love. Through prayer, remembrance, and the Holy Mass, we remain connected with those who have left this earthly life, for in Christ no one is ever truly lost to us.
Life in Christ continues for eternity
All Souls’ Day reminds us that death does not have the final word, but rather, life in Christ continues eternity.
bring a photograph (size 4×6) of your loved ones who have passed away since last year’s All Souls Day.
In preparation for this day, we invite you to take part in a special act of remembrance. We kindly ask you to bring a photograph (size 4×6) of your loved ones who have passed away since last year’s All Souls Day. These pictures will be displayed in our church during the commemoration, serving as a visible sign of our prayers and of the bond of love that unites us with the faithful departed. Through this gesture, our parish becomes a place where memory, faith, and hope come together.
Not just a day of Remembrance – but a day for cherishing the present.
But this day is not only about looking back with remembrance—it is also about looking around us in the present moment and realizing the gift of our parish community. To pray together for the departed is also to strengthen the living body of Christ among us. When we come together to remember, we also grow closer to one another, sharing in faith and fellowship.
Grow closer as a parish with Parish Movie Day
In this same spirit of building up our parish family, we are happy to announce a new initiative: Parish Movie Day. Beginning next month, we will gather once a month for an evening of film, fellowship, and discussion. This will not only be a time for relaxation and joy but also an opportunity to deepen our bonds, to reflect together on meaningful themes, and to celebrate the richness of our faith in creative ways. We hope this simple initiative will bring us together across generations, strengthen our unity, and create more opportunities to know and support one another.
Dear friends, let us continue to live as people of faith, hope, and love.
May All Souls’ Day renew in us the assurance that our prayers matter, that our community is a source of strength, and that God’s mercy is greater than all. Let us entrust our departed loved one to the Lord and commit ourselves anew to walking together as one parish family.
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,
— Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan
