A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people who are all close to my heart!
Lots of love and blessings to you all.
I was extremely happy that this past week the vocation promoter of our Archdiocese celebrated Mass here for Broward county. The attendance was not as we expected, but that’s alright. We are trying to learn the reason for it. I am thinking of making it every year that our community gathering as we together pray for the vocations every year. We would do it on Divine Mercy Saturday or Pentecost Saturday. I will share plans for next year with the help of the Deacon and ministries.
It sounds like the majority of our parish has had a vaccine. I am extremely delighted about this! I also had my second shot during Holy Week. Hereafter we need to move on to our “new normal” routine and regular mood of life as we continue, of course, by following guidelines.
We have already opened up the hall for all the meetings and events… please come and share…
I do urge all of you- all the time, to wear your facial coverings and social distancing. People tend to think that since you had a vaccine, it is ok to stop protocol, but it’s not bulletproof and that you are not going to get sick, hence—please for the sake of others, please always during the Mass COVER YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH. If someone is not following this, please offer a suggestion politely to do so.
Very soon we are going to have the First Communion of some of our children. So on this Mother’s Day May 9th at 11:00 a.m. Mass the girls will receive Holy Communion for the first time as their mothers and grandmothers with family celebrate this sacrament. What a joy to have the First Communion celebration as we enter a new year of change. We shall also pray for them.
Please invite and share with your friends and family to the church so that they may also attend daily and Sunday Mass inside the church. May God bless you all. If there is anyone who needs my visit or call, please let me know, I will be more than happy to do that
God bless you all.
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,
With love and blessings,
—Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan
