A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people closest to my heart!
God bless you and your generous heart
Olympic Opening Ceremony
It Should never have been done
Many of you expressed concern and discomfort at the inauguration opening ceremonies of the Olympics. I don’t watch TV, but when I read over your communications, I felt extremely irritable.
I am extremely sorry for those who did it and the government who allowed it to happen. They don’t know what they are doing. I am also extremely glad to notice many shepherds of the church expressing their discomfort and discontent.
This should have NEVER been done.
The next 5 weeks we will contemplate the Eucharist.
It’s so coincidental that in the coming five weeks, we are going to contemplate the Eucharist, and we will try to attend it very positively. As the Vatican II beautifully talks about it.
“The Eucharist is the source and submit of our lives and it’s through the Eucharist that we are sustained, fed and have our being.”
—Vatican II
Let us pray for ourselves that we would have deeper love for Christ who is present in person in the Eucharist.
The church has not been sold
There is a constant and recurring interesting topic that people come to me stating “I heard from reliable sources” or “someone that I know, who is very much closer to the city told me” that our church and its property is sold out or they sold it to someone.
I heard this conspiracy or loose talk the very second week I was here for the first time. Almost every week someone comes to me with seriousness asking me the same question. When I tell, them it’s not the truth, they don’t believe it. They wanted to hear what they wanted.
Hence, I want to inform every one of you that THE CHURCH IS NOT SOLD TO ANYONE. It belongs to us. It will not be sold out to anyone. Even if the Archdiocese wants to do so they wouldn’t without letting the faithful know about it.
Let us stop loose talk.
Please DO NOT ENTERTAIN IT, IN CASE OF SOMEONE DOES THAT. It confuses people and makes the faithful nervous and anxious.
May God bless you all.
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,
— Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan
