A Message from Father Nathan

My dearest people closest to my heart!
God bless you and your generous heart

Thank You for Celebrating My Ordination Anniversary.

I feel I am extremely loved.

Thank you so very much my dearest people! Thank you again for the great celebration held for my ordination anniversary.

I feel I am extremely loved. I love my family back home but a family of faith replaces that family. I really mean it when I say this is my family. You are all members of my family.

For my ordination, I took my caption for Exodus 3:7-8.

I have heard the crying of my people, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come to rescue them.

Hence I derived as “To rescue my people to deliverance “like the little boy David which we hear about in 1Sam 17:1

God Chose Me

I had no address and no social or political background. I had no profile and I was living somewhere. But the Lord came looking for me. He told me that I was chosen. As he said in the same chapter

“Go and the Lord be with you. And you will be my servant.”

Yes, I am the chosen one and servant of God and I want to be that way.

I want like to thank all the Parish Council members under the leadership of Ms. Ruth Dunnigan, Ms. Lillian DiStasio, Ms. Marylou Soucy, Ms. Katie Brennan, Ms. Giovanna Tuttobene, Mr. Anthony Brogna, Ms Cathy Duet and Mr. & Mrs. Phil and Allison Dolcetti, with them were lots of people who put in lots of care and hard work. God bless you all.

Thank you personally to all of you who wished me good luck and God’s blessing and for your cards and gifts. God bless you all.

Mother’s Day

This week we are also celebrating Mother’s Day.

Mother’s Day is a holiday honoring motherhood and is celebrated in different forms throughout the world.  In the United States, our blessed nation, it is observed on the second Sunday of May. The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914. (Jarvis later denounced the holiday’s commercialization and spent the latter part of her life trying to remove it from the calendar.

The holiday traditionally involves presenting mothers with flowers, cards, and other gifts. The tradition of giving carnations to mothers originated in North America and has since come to signify purity, faith, love, beauty, and charity. It’s great to celebrate our mothers. I wish all mothers and grandmothers a happy Mother’s Day. We are all so proud of you. May God bless you all. Thank you for inspiring all of us every day of our lives.

Again, may God bless you.

With lots of love and blessings,

Ever wanting to be faithful to your service,

— Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan

On October 1, Catholics around the world honor the life of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, or St. Thérèse of Lisieux on her feast day. St. Thérèse was born January 2, 1873 in Alençon, France to pious parents, both of whom are scheduled to be canonized in October 2016. Her mother died when she was four, leaving her father and elder sisters to raise her.
