A Message from Father Nathan

My dearest people who are all close to my heart!

Lots of love, blessings, and prayers to you all.

peace and happiness and gifts of the holy spirit

This is one of my basic convictions that is, peace and happiness are like a light within each of our hearts. I believe and trust that It’s ONE of the gifts from God. It’s purely a gift from the Holy Spirit. It is light – that always glows and intensifies.

The minute it’s extinguished then we become like commodities. I am not sure whether the commodities will have happiness and joy. My philosophical knowledge hasn’t helped me to comprehend this. This happiness and joy sometimes can glow brighter and brighter, and then sometimes the radiance may be less based on our situations.

That’s what life is all about, but it should never be extinguished. Having said this, we know what is going on with our country. Now we need to know that no person, no place, and nothing has any power over us. For we are thinkers in our minds. When we create peace and harmony and balance in our minds, we will find it in our lives. I want to quote Saint Francis de Sales
“Never be in a hurry, do everything quietly and in a calm spirit.”
Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever even if your whole world seems upset. Peace is not absent in conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means. Again I wanted to quote Dalai Lama
“Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace.”
When there is competition, someone has to win. It’s a completion. That’s it. There is always winning and losing. We need someone to win and lead. It’s necessary. Let the external condition be. It should never determine our happiness or sadness.

Hence achieving peace is a continuous journey many of us are on. Though it might seem out of reach, putting our problems and struggles into perspective helps us get closer to reaching tranquility. Whether it’s peace of mind or peace on earth you’re after, it all begins with making an effort to be more calm and present.

I believe and hope I make some sense to you. Being overly reactive to any situation is NOT wholesomeness or healthy – either positive and negative.

Volunteers Needs

On another note –
  • as I have requested we need children for our Christmas liturgy. Please let them come closer to the altar.
  • We also need volunteers for screening the Mass parts. Please call the office for any information or for volunteering.

God bless you all.

With love and blessings,
Ever at your service.
