A Message from Father Nathan
My dearest people who are all close to my heart!
Lots of love, blessings, and prayers to you all.
Thanks to all…
who made our thanksgiving lunch, and Thanksgiving Day mass, and to everyone who participated, attended, or prayed for us.
Last week, I was extremely delighted that we all came together and were able to enjoy our Thanksgiving Luncheon. We served close to one hundred fifty people in the hall and some members took takeout to people in their homes. The food and the desserts were delicious. Thanks be to God! The parish is delighted to do this for you and with you.
I want to acknowledge and appreciate all the St. Vincent dePaul Society members under the leadership of Ms. Terry Guthke for the group planning and hard work. May God bless them. Everything was well planned and executed.
I would also like to thank Ms. Lillian DiStasio and her crew for planning the after Mass gathering on Thanksgiving Day. I thank her for her generosity.
I have witnessed a lot of people involved in these preparations and so many people stayed for a longer time to spend time together. May God bless them all. I appreciate you all working on so many of these types of get-togethers for our parish – it always carries lots of goodness and exhibits our extended family here at St. Gabriel’s –may God continue to bless you and let us all keep up the good work.
Parish Retreat Update:
There is a little change in the Christmas Retreat and reflection we have planned. I thought of taking all of you to the Passionist Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center in North Palm Beach. Due to various reasons, we are not going to drive there but we will have it right here at the parish. The same preacher will come and do the preaching here. We will have our regular Friday 8:00 a.m. Mass followed by adoration as usual. We will then start the reflection at 10:00 a.m. on December 16th and the parish will host a simple lunch and later will start again. We will finish with the Holy Mass at 3:00 p.m. There will be confessions available in the afternoon. Let us make good use of these preparations for Christmas.
God bless you all.
With lots of love and blessing.
Ever wanting to be faithful to your service.
—Fr. Sahayanathan Nathan
